We’d like to thank all the participants that made the Passive House Zone such a great success this year at GREENBUILD 2013: the hundreds and hundreds of visitors, ten top rate vendors, the NAPHN volunteers, the Passive House presenters and our friends Jessica Grove-Smith and Rainer Pfluger of the Passive House Institute, Darmstadt, Germany. All coming together made for an energizing and informative synergy that brought Passive House to new audiences as well as renewed old relationships. As reported by Andrew Michler in his inhabitat article The Top Ten Innovations at Greenbuild 2013 in Philadelphia, The Passive House Zone clearly demonstrated the catalyst of community in promoting the Passive House concept, as visitors were able to experience and learn about many aspects of the Passive House Standard.
