Passive House Institute to offer Business Training
The Passive House Institute will be providing advanced training for consultants and introductory training for mechanical engineers and manufacturers in New York City with live interactive transmission to a classroom in Oakland California on Friday November 22nd and Saturday 23rd.
The training is a collaboration between the Passive House Institute, New York Passive House, Passive House California, the Passive House Academy and the Association for Energy Affordability.
There will be two specialized workshops:
PHPP Overdrive: Next Level PHPP forPassive House Consultants and Designers, Nov 22-23:
Passive House practitioners will have the unique opportunity to learn directly from the scientists that have helped build the Passive House standard and Passive House Planning Package (PHPP), while discussing building issues in classroom with leading consultant peers. Topics will include: Latest research and upcoming PHPP developments, cooling and dehumidification, PHPP for non-residential and commercial buildings, tools and tricks of optimizing your PHPP, case studies across the world. Passive House for Mechanical Engineers and Equipment Manufacturers, Nov 22:
Mechanical engineers and mechanical equipment manufacturers will receive a basic introduction to Passive House with a specific focus on mechanical design and equipment requirements in Passive House buildings. Topics will include: Introduction to Passive House principles, mechanical systems design, mechanical systems certification, solution for exemplary buildings both domestic and commercial, case studies.
